About the Role

We are seeking an SDE V - Android Lead Developer/Architect who will lead the development of high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly Android applications. As a senior leader, you will guide the design, development, and deployment of projects while mentoring junior developers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and efficient Android application architectures ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Android developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other teams to refine requirements and integrate services.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain architecture principles and coding standards.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, libraries, and frameworks.
• Identify bottlenecks, optimize app performance, and ensure scalability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Ensure applications comply with security best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Enhance existing software to improve efficiency or reduce operational time.
• Evaluate current architecture and provide recommendations for improved performance, scalability, and reliability.

Skills Required

• Proficiency in Android Development with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Expertise in:
  • Android SDK, Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, Gradle, and Jetpack (Android Architecture Components).
  • Design patterns like MVC, MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
  • Multithreading, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization tools.
  • Building robust, scalable, and reusable modular codebases for large-scale projects.
  • RESTful APIs and third-party library integrations.
  • CI/CD pipelines for automating tests and deployments.
• Knowledge of:
  • Google design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Memory management and application optimization for various Android devices.
  • Testing frameworks and modular development.
• Experience with:
  • Performance tuning and debugging tools.
  • Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Git and version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (Master’s Degree preferred).
• 10+ years of hands-on Android development experience, with 3-5 years in an architectural role.
• Experience with IFE system development is a plus.
