Role: Engineer I - Oracle Database Administration
As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of company databases. You will ensure optimal storage, monitoring, and recovery while collaborating with system administrators to troubleshoot issues.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Database Installation & Configuration
- Install, configure, support, and maintain Oracle Databases
- Create new databases as required
- Implement database hardening, setup, and performance tuning
✅ Monitoring & Maintenance
- Perform patch management and ensure regular database monitoring
- Oversee disk partitions, table spaces, and instance health
- Work with System Administrators to resolve hardware, storage, and network issues
✅ Backup & Recovery
- Manage database backups and restorations following defined processes
- Configure and maintain Oracle RAC & ASM setups
✅ On-Call Support
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support to ensure smooth operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
✔ Experience in Oracle Database Administration
✔ Basic knowledge of Linux commands for database operations
✔ Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
