We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering & Facilities Manager to oversee property maintenance, ensuring the building, grounds, and physical plant meet the highest safety, security, and asset protection standards. This role is responsible for managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, safety, and guest satisfaction, leading the emergency response team for all facility-related issues.
???? Option 1: High school diploma or GED + 6 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related professional field with technical training in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing.
???? Option 2: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or a related field + 4 years of experience in engineering and maintenance.
✔ Work with the property and regional engineering leadership team to assess budget performance and identify areas for improvement.
✔ Oversee the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems per standard operating procedures.
✔ Manage service contracts to support property needs efficiently.
✔ Ensure the fire team is fully trained in all systems, equipment, and alarms.
✔ Provide mentorship to engineering leadership teams for effective cost management.
✔ Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans and long-term asset protection strategies.
✔ Review financial reports to evaluate budget performance and address potential issues.
✔ Ensure construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
✔ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
✔ Maintain life safety systems, including firefighting equipment, sprinkler systems, and alarm systems.
✔ Keep all building permits, licenses, and certifications current.
✔ Ensure company policies are applied fairly and consistently.
✔ Manage expenses by reviewing operating statements, budget worksheets, and payroll reports.
✔ Monitor and control costs for utilities, supplies, service contracts, and maintenance equipment.
✔ Participate in capital expenditure planning and oversee project execution.
✔ Prepare weekly and period-end P&L assessments to ensure financial targets are met.
✔ Foster an inclusive and fair work environment for employees.
✔ Implement disciplinary procedures in alignment with company policies.
✔ Maintain an open-door policy to address employee concerns promptly.
✔ Recognize and celebrate employee contributions.
✔ Address guest issues and complaints professionally.
✔ Work closely with HR on employee-related matters.
✔ Ensure clear and effective communication across the engineering department.
