Role Overview

The Business Performance Senior Analyst will support business planning, performance management, and finance partnering for a specific Business/Function. This position requires deep collaboration with global technical and finance teams and plays a key role in developing insightful financial products to drive decision-making and performance tracking.


Key Responsibilities

???? Performance Management

  • Deliver timely, accurate financial and management data

  • Prepare materials for performance leadership reviews with insights and key messages

  • Analyze profitability and identify improvement opportunities

???? Business Partnering & Performance Insights

  • Build proactive relationships with Business/Function leadership

  • Support forecasting, performance tracking, and MI commentary

  • Monitor cost-saving initiatives and track profitability accurately

???? Actuals Analysis

  • Perform monthly/quarterly actuals review with trend and variance analysis

  • Provide actionable insights to address performance gaps

???? Business Planning

  • Coordinate long-term and quarterly plans

  • Work with SAP-based tools and generate Power BI/Tableau outputs

  • Prepare leadership-ready presentations with narrative support

???? Joint Venture Management

  • Assist local finance in preparing Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) and JV partner documentation

???? Economic Evaluation

  • Conduct economic and viability analysis of projects

  • Provide insight into business value drivers

???? Strategy & Planning

  • Support annual cost planning with scenario analysis

  • Highlight areas of concern and ensure data quality

  • Support ad-hoc strategic decisions and risk/reward evaluation

???? Continuous Improvement

  • Drive standardization and efficiency in FP&A processes

  • Promote system-based reporting and global best practices


Required Qualifications & Experience

???? Education:

  • Mandatory: Degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering

  • Preferred: Master’s Degree, MBA, CA, ICWA/Cost Accountant

???? Experience:

  • Minimum: 5 years in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Preferred Industries: Oil & Gas, Retail, Manufacturing, Asset-based business, Logistics

  • Preferred Background: Working within global, matrixed organizations


Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Plan-to-Perform processes

  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Comfortable working in cross-functional, global teams

  • Track record of delivering operational and financial performance improvements


Team & Work Environment

This team supports budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and economic evaluation across global business units.
