Job Description:
Caterpillar is seeking a Supply Chain and Operations Specialist to join our team. This role supports logistics operations, activities, and clients across all transportation modes. You will assist in process flow development to reduce lead times, identify improvement opportunities in cost, quality, and customer service, and help implement and maintain monitoring systems for shipment status and delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement:
- Assist in developing process flows to track lead times and identify opportunities to reduce them.
- Identify areas for improvements in cost, quality, and service based on customer needs.

Shipment Monitoring:
- Implement and maintain monitoring systems for tracking shipment status, shipment dates, on-the-way location, and estimated and actual delivery dates.

Reporting & Analysis:
- Develop and analyze reports on transportation costs and carrier performance.
- Monitor lead times and ensure compliance with related regulations.

Supply Chain Management:
- Utilize tools and strategies to manage supply chain functions, including transportation, procurement, and inventory management.
- Ensure accurate and timely handling of shipments and service agreements with suppliers.

Team Collaboration & Problem-Solving:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Solve operational and process-related issues by applying problem-solving tools and techniques.

Import/Export & Logistics Management:
- Understand import/export regulations and oversee international trade and logistics processes.
- Ensure smooth operations of inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials and finished products.
Requirements:

Education:
- A degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related fields is preferred.

Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management.
- Proficiency in strategic analysis, problem-solving, and supply chain optimization.
- Strong knowledge of transportation methods, logistics operations, and procurement processes.
- Hands-on experience with transportation management systems and tools.

Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with import/export processes and related documentation.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and oversee production schedules.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain management software and systems.
Work Shifts:
- Flexible shift options:
- 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM
