Your Role
As an Application Security Engineer (AppSec), you will work closely with software development teams to ensure security in innovative Amazon services. This includes inspecting code, building security frameworks, performing adversarial analysis, and providing design guidance.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Create, update, and maintain threat models for various software projects
✔ Conduct manual & automated secure code reviews (Java, Python, JavaScript)
✔ Develop security automation tools to enhance efficiency
✔ Perform adversarial security analysis using advanced tools
✔ Deliver security training & outreach for internal development teams
✔ Provide security architecture & design guidance
✔ Independently solve complex security challenges with innovative approaches
✔ Influence security processes, priorities, and decisions to improve outcomes
Required Skills & Experience
???? 3+ years of experience in programming & security with languages like Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, or C++
???? Strong knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP)
???? 5+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, authentication, cryptography, system administration, and network security
???? Hands-on experience with AWS products & services
???? Ability to communicate security risks to technical & non-technical audiences
