Software Test Engineer – Identity Management Quality Engineering
Okta is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our Identity Management Quality Engineering team. This role ensures high-quality and reliable product releases by leveraging automation at every level.
Job Responsibilities
- Automate API tests, End-to-End tests, reliability, and scale tests.
- Review requirements and design specs to develop relevant test plans and test cases.
- Work with engineering management to scope and plan engineering efforts.
- Document and communicate QE plans for team review.
- Maintain a zero-debt cadence by automating all critical features.
- Release features with solid quality to customers.
- Respond to production issues/alerts and customer issues during on-call rotation.
- Mentor new hires and interns.
Minimum Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years in quality engineering with test automation experience.
- 2+ years experience with Selenium and/or API testing using Java.
- 2+ years experience with Performance testing using JMeter.
- 2+ years experience with Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, SQL, and Unix.
- Strong ability to develop high-quality automation and software tests.
- Ability to test software independently with minimal supervision.
- Fast learner with a keen interest in new technologies.
Education and Training
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
