Job Overview and Responsibilities
The E-Commerce Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to online sales operations. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in e-commerce accounting and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Accounting:
- Track and reconcile inventory levels, costs, and valuations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Process stock in and out transactions in compliance with GST regulations and generate E-way bills.

Transaction Management:
- Monitor and reconcile daily e-commerce transactions, including sales, refunds, and charges across multiple online platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart).
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.

Accounts and Finance Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements, payment gateways, and merchant accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Address discrepancies and manage chargebacks or disputes as needed.
- Prepare and review financial reports related to e-commerce activities, including sales data, expense reports, and profit and loss statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Cost Management:
- Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper accounting and approval.
- Monitor and manage e-commerce-related expenses to maintain financial control.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in e-commerce accounting (preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in accounting (preferred).

Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: ₹25,000 - ₹40,000 per month
