Job Summary

The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a crucial role in executing property-level communication strategies to enhance the hotel's brand image. Under the Director of Marketing and Communication, this role drives on-brand messaging across traditional, digital, and social media platforms.

The primary goal is to increase consumer awareness, market share, and brand loyalty by executing targeted marketing campaigns. A key focus is Food and Beverage (F&B) promotions, targeting both hotel guests and local patrons.

The ideal candidate will work closely with regional eCommerce and marketing teams, ensuring alignment of all digital and social marketing efforts with the hotel’s sales strategy. The role also involves a mix of traditional marketing, eCommerce, public relations (PR), and social media engagement.

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Revenue growth and market share expansion
  • Social media engagement
  • Effective utilization of marketing resources

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Option 1: 2-year degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field + 4 years of experience in sales, marketing, or digital media (preferably hospitality marketing).
  • Option 2: 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field + 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or digital advertising.

Preferred:

  • Experience in hospitality marketing or digital advertising agencies.

Core Work Activities

1. Hotel Marketing & Advertising

  • Develops and executes an annual marketing plan in coordination with GM, F&B leaders, and cluster marketing teams.
  • Collaborates with Operations, F&B, and Sales teams to promote in-house offers that drive incremental revenue.
  • Manages advertising agency relationships for tactical ad campaigns, particularly F&B promotions.
  • Verifies correct offer loading in collaboration with Revenue Management for targeted ad campaigns.
  • Leads email marketing and display advertising efforts.
  • Ensures all digital advertising aligns with brand voice and marketing goals.

2. Social Media Content Management

  • Oversees local digital content updates (e.g., hotel website, travel sites, and social media).
  • Develops and executes promotions for F&B, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences via digital and social channels.
  • Manages online reputation, responding to guest feedback on social media platforms.

3. Public Relations & Visual Asset Management

  • Develops and implements quarterly PR plans in collaboration with PR agencies.
  • Maintains a media contact list with a focus on food critics and bloggers.
  • Writes and distributes press releases for events, promotions, and outlets.
  • Coordinates hotel-sponsored events, community/government relations activities, and media campaigns.
  • Works with external vendors and media agencies to ensure strategic media buys.
  • Oversees photo shoots for seasonal promotions and ensures all photography aligns with brand guidelines.

4. Direct Marketing & Collateral Development

  • Develops hotel and F&B printed materials, ensuring brand compliance.
  • Manages the production and distribution of marketing collateral.
  • Oversees F&B direct marketing efforts.

5. General Marketing & Brand Engagement

  • Assists in developing and executing all communications and marketing activities, with a strong emphasis on F&B promotions.
  • Supports hotel newsletters and joint promotional initiatives.
  • Ensures the hotel’s website and related online platforms are regularly updated.
  • Provides marketing training and leadership to GMs, Sales Leaders, and Revenue teams.
  • Analyzes marketing and eCommerce performance, working closely with Revenue Management teams.
  • Stays updated on competitor marketing trends and evolving digital strategies.
