About the Role

Amazon Corporate Security is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Security Manager for the Delhi NCR region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate security operations, risk management, and crisis communication. This individual will report to the Regional Security Manager and be responsible for overseeing and implementing Amazon’s security programs across multiple corporate sites.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver top-tier security services to ensure the safety of Amazon employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Manage day-to-day security operations across multiple sites with diverse requirements.

  • Serve as the security subject matter expert for the region, offering guidance and consultation to local business leaders.

  • Implement and enhance security programs, standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Monitor external threat environments and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.

  • Coordinate and lead responses to security incidents and crisis events.

  • Collaborate with internal Amazon teams and external law enforcement partners.

  • Manage guarding vendors and ensure accountability in service delivery.

  • Develop performance metrics and execute security-related projects and initiatives.

  • Conduct security assessments and close gaps in controls based on risk evaluations.

  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders at both tactical and strategic levels.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business Management, Accounting, International Relations, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a security role within a global corporate environment, NGO, public sector, police, or military.

  • Prior managerial experience and experience in vendor/service provider management.

  • Proven knowledge of security operations, crisis management, and risk mitigation.

  • Skilled in incident investigations, contract management, and training development.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Management or relevant certifications.

  • Experience in corporate security within large-scale, global organizations.

  • Knowledge of physical security technology, legal contracts, and budgeting.

  • Proficient in tools such as SharePoint, Tableau, Asana, Smartsheet, or other collaboration platforms.

  • Strong writing skills for publishing standards and policies.

  • Experienced in developing security metrics and conducting trend analysis.

  • Ability to conduct investigations and provide fact-based findings.


About the Team

The Global Corporate Security team oversees security operations at Amazon corporate sites worldwide. Structured into three regional divisions (Americas; Asia Pacific; and EMEA), the team consists of seasoned professionals who collaborate to protect Amazon’s people, assets, and operations.


A Day in the Life

  • Oversee day-to-day guarding operations and ensure quality service from vendors.

  • Conduct customer outreach and support security initiatives.

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders including law enforcement.

  • Lead incident investigations and ensure timely response.

  • Drive continuous improvement in security processes and metrics across locations.
